Armando Rosales, owner

Armando has been working in the music industry since graduating high school and has performed on the same bill with many well known artists such as All For One, Brandy, Duran Duran, La Sonora Dinamita, Los Tigres del Norte, Notorious B.I.G., Shai, Stevie B, amongst others. He has written and produced tracks for Angelina, Armando Cordoba, 21 East, Spanish Fly and has had several songs in the charts in the 90s as well as a finalist in the Latin category in 2005 USA Songwriter Competition in the Latin category. He built the studio primarily to write, produce, record and mix his own projects but as the equipment list grew, Armando started providing the studio to other artists such as Aki Starr, Bueno, Culann's Hounds, Israel Tenenbaum, Otilia Donaire Band, etc. His main passion has always been writing romantic ballads, playing guitar and collecting world class microphones.

Edgar Santiago, engineer


Edgar has worked both in freelance and studio environments, supporting artists, bands, and event organizers with everything from microphone placement and PA system setup to mixing and mastering final tracks. Besides working with AfterDark Recording, he has also worked as a live sound engineer for private events and concerts. He holds certifications in Pro Tools and Audio Engineering from SAE Institute, and the Recording Connection. Edgar is also a percussionist and producer and is working on releasing an EP of some of his latest songs.

Remodel


This section is still in progress. We will be uploading pictures of our recent remodeling of the studio. There are still a few things left to do but we have come a long way.

This section is still in progress. We would like to share our years of experience not only in recording but in building studio furniture, wiring patch bays, electrical wiring, acoustic treatment, etc. This section will hopefully provide good reference information to other inspiring home studios.
