AfterDark Recording is a full service home studio located in San Francisco, CA. The studio features a 24 channel Digidesign C24 Pro Tools controller/mixer along with a SSL X-Desk for great analog summing as well as a wide selection of great pre-amps, outboard gear and a world class microphone closet.

About Us

AfterDark Recording is a truly professional home studio. The studio features a 24 channel Digidesign C|24 mixer/controller and a SSL Super Analogue X-Desk analog summing mixer. The studio has been recording professionally since 1993 but has been recording since 1981 with over 40 years of experience. While it's a home studio, AfterDark Recording has had the pleasure to record and work with many artists through the years such as Greg Errico of Sly & the Family Stone, John Popper of Blues Traveler, Norbert Stachel of Tower of Power, Bobby Vega, Leo Rosales of Malo, Armando Cordoba, Culann's Hounds, Spanish Fly, Angelina, Chino Nuñez, Israel Tanenbaum, Carlos Ramirez, Steve Wyreman, Bueno, Otilia Donaire Band, amongst many others. We hope to add to this distinguished list now that the studio has recently reopened after a full remodel.

We pride ourselves of being able to offer high quality sound for those on a budget providing a world class microphone collection and fantastic outboard gear along with a 32 channel HDX Pro Tools system.
